It’s been a hard year. In September 2025, Jason broke his ankle three months before what should have been his Olympic debut, ending his chance of racing at Milan-Cortina 2026. Seven months later, in April 2026, he was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident. In May, once he was ready, he shared this update himself:
“Hello everyone, as u know I was involved in a traffic accident that nearly took my life, but by God’s grace I’m still here. I’ve stayed quiet because this was something deeply personal, and I needed time for myself. Now I’m back training again. The hunger, the ambition, and the mindset to become and stay the best never left. This is only a part of the journey, and I’ll come back stronger than ever. Thank you to everyone who supported me during this time. Every message, prayer, and every bit of support truly meant a lot. Isaiah 41:10.
